My Story

My earliest experience with therapy was when I was a young boy. My mother was in a car accident as a baby and because of this had a life long struggle with a very bad back. I felt so bad for her and gave her foot massages and back rubs. This formative experience led me to eventually become a Diplomate of Shiatsu Therapy in 1996 with 2200 hours of training at the Shiatsu School of Canada and eventually a Diploma in Acupuncture (2015) and Diploma in Doctor of TCM (2016) from the Calgary College of Acupuncture and TCM in Calgary. I also have three years of training and study in Tibetan Medicine with Dr. Paysang Arya from Switzerland.

My most transformative experience was working as a patient care attendant at Rosedale Hospice in Calgary, Alberta for a brief period of time in the late nineties. Though it was a work period of less than a year caring for human beings as they went through the death process led to deep insights on the human experience we call life such as the need for compassion in all stages of life. This world has  Kindness and Love Deficiency Disorder (KLDD), not an excess of indifference and hate. Chinese Medicine shows us that excesses can be healed by dealing with the deficiencies.

These days I focus on bringing people back to life...vital...fulfilling lives.

Over the years I have in excess of 8,000 hours of training and education. I have a life long interest in meditation, cognition and the subconscious along with altered states of consciousness similar to hypnotherapy. For many years I have practiced the Chinese Internal Martial Art BaGuaChang. My wife of 33 years Lee and I have four adult (children) and enjoy gardening (creating pollinator sanctuary's) and the outdoors.

My therapeutic sessions mainly utilize Electrostim acupuncture with adjunct therapies including Shiatsu Therapy, Laser Therapy, Magnet Therapy, Cupping and Hot Stones. As well as deep relaxation guided sensory sessions to access deep healing by engaging the subconscious and reawakening to our natural state.

Lifestyle advice is given according to client needs, such as exercise and Qigong instruction, healing with food and herbs, meditation and mind training etc.

In the near future I will include shockwave therapy, and potentially other tools and techniques if there are benefits.
